'First light, Grand Canal' Venice signed art print on paper

‘First light, Grand Canal’ records my last visit to Venice. I would get up early, when the city was still asleep, and watch the sun rise as the little boats went about their business. I spent hours just soaking it all in and then captured this feeling in paint.

This painting is in a private collection in Devon.

There's something very special about these memories, witnessing such a wonderful renewal in the perfect setting.
