'Setting out, Cornwall' Sea view with fishing boat signed art print on paper
One day at the beach, I spotted a fisherman about to row out to his little fishing boat. I grabbed my camera and took some photos. Years later I painted this painting. I hung it in my studio gallery and one afternoon, a young woman with a baby popped in, saw the painting and said ‘That's my grandad!’.
She told me all about Bill Hocking, who was still fishing into his 80s. She now owns the original painting.
It was a special moment.
