‘Red sail luggers, St ives’ evokes a memory of a special day in St Ives, Cornwall. We had just arrived and my wife Patricia called to me that there were two boats sailing, just off the rocks below. Even though it was October, the water was like Venice and the sun was warm. I managed to catch the boats and this is the painting, now published as a signed fine art print.
There's something very special about these moments when it all comes together. This is what happened with this painting.
The original painting is in a private collection in Devon.
